The house has a big roof terrace above the water, onthe south and on the other side a spacious balcony,with a view over the lake, where you will see littleboats sailing past. There is sun on the terrace fromearly morning till sunset.One electric barbeque is available for the outdoors. A boat or bicycle is for hire. A parking area for 1 car isin front of the door.You can cycle to the North Sea beach between Castricumand Wijk aan zee, or to the primeval pleasant placeson the opposite side of the water, such as Graft andthe Rijp (it is also an artist route in a beautifulNorth Holland landscape).You can even cycle to (the cheese market on Friday) (distance +/-11 km is surely for a trained cyclist).Furthermore in the surrounding: The artist town Bergen(19 km)(art market on Fridays and Thursday eveningsand the annual lights evening on the 1st Wednesday ofAugust).And naturally the beach places Egmond aan zee with themany terraces, Zaandam with the famous Zaanentrenchment (wooden houses) the mills and the clogs(+/- 14 km) And something further: Purmerend (cattle market onTuesday). Edam (old Dutch town and famous Edammercheese) and a bit further on Volendam and Marken alongthe IJselmeer. On the other side you will find the seaport IJmuiden(8 km) and the historic cities Haarlem (approx. 10 km)and Amsterdam (20 km) with the many places ofinterest, terraces and museums. In short, you can always enjoy yourself here. Duringgood weather, there are water activities taking placearound the house or close to one of the North Seabeaches. When it is bad weather, you can go to one ofthe many towns and cities in the surrounding. Here youwill literally find everything. Uitgeest is very centrally situated. In 10 minutes youare at Schiphol or in Haarlem, it takes a bit longerto Amsterdam. If you do not prefer to take the car,then take the train! Uitgeest has its own station(distance 800 m).Even in the winter, you can enjoy yourself completelyin this splendid surrounding.
