La Martignac
This attractive Périgordine farmhouse is at the end of a lane on the outskirts of a small hamlet just south of Bergerac. Reputed to have been built by the English during the 100 Years War, it has been fully modernised and equipped to accommodate two families comfortably. The spacious main salon was formerly a barn and the original cattle crèche forms one wall, behind which is the master bedroom. The mezzanine gallery, overlooking the salon, provides a pleasant children's bedroom with its own sitting area. To the front of the house, the sunny terrace faces an attractive garden, whilst a large lawned area at the back provides a perfect play area. The partially fenced swimming pool to the side of the property is edged by fields which are often planted with sunflowers, creating a picture book setting for this traditional farmhouse.
