La Casa Svedese
La Casa Svedese is situated in the small hamlet of Moretto, two miles below Piglio – famous for its Cesanese wine. The house is set in a mountain-side, wild garden of olive and almond trees, near the foot of Mount Scalambra, with beautiful sweeping views. It is only 10 minutes from the Rome-Naples A1 motorway, 45 minutes drive from the Rome circular (GRA) and 90 minutes from Naples. Nearby towns include Anagni, "Città dei Papi," and the spa town of Fiuggi. Activities in the area include golf, skiing, cycling, walking and horse riding. There are 3 bedrooms – 1 with a very large double bed (can be a twin), 1 double/twin bed and 1 with adult-size bunk-beds (would suit one adult or two children). There are two single sofa beds in kitchen. There is one bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, WC and hand basin. The kitchen/dining room is spacious and well equipped with dishwasher, cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, etc. There is a spacious sitting room with large fireplace, books and stereo system. There is a washing machine and small chest freezer in the cellar. Outside is a large south-facing terrace shaded by an almond tree, with a beautiful panoramic view across the vineyards towards the medieval towns of Anagni and Paliano. Equipped with table and chairs suitable for dining outside. At a lower level is a vine-covered pergola with table and chairs. The hillside garden - approximately 1000m2 - contains olive trees, almond trees and oleander bushes. There is a private parking space for 3-4 cars. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, from cheap and cheerful pizzerie to a Michelin star restaurant – “Le Colline Ciociare� only 10 minutes away in Acuto. There are banks and shops in Piglio and larger supermarkets and a hospital in nearby Anagni. There is a local market in Piglio every Friday.

Ideal for golf and skiing
Golf Fiuggi Golf Club is approximately 15 minutes drive away - 18 hole/par 70. Green fees are 40 euros/day. The club has an open-air swimming pool and tennis courts and the clubhouse has a comfortable bar area and restaurant. Skiing Ski areas located in the region include Campo Staffi, Campo Felice and Monte Livata

Getting around, restaurants and shopping
A rental car is almost essential for sightseeing and shopping. However, there are buses from outside the house to Rome, Piglio and Fiuggi. Anagni-Fiuggi train station is 15 minutes by car. The train service to Roma Termini (Central station) is quite frequent (every hour or so) and takes 50 minutes. The house is 10 minutes from the main Rome-Naples A1 motorway. Distances Rome Airports: - Ciampino (Ryanair/Easyjet) - 45 minutes. - Fiumicino (BA/Alitalia, etc) - 75 minutes. Naples/Pompeii – 90 minutes Florence/Assisi/Pisa/Amalfi – Approx. 3 hours.
