On Lake Muskoka, your Muskoka experience
My wife and I are renting our cottage on beautiful Muskoka Bay in Gravenhurst right on Lake Muskoka. Of course you must consider that the "Big Three" Lakes; Muskoka, Joseph and Rosseau have always been recognized as the premier lakes of Ontario, any other lake is simply a compromise in terms of size, access and overall "Muskoka" experience. Your stay will leave you with memories of an authentic Muskoka cottage tranquility from the area known for decades as Canada's Playground the Gateway to Muskoka.  We have priced the rent reasonably compared to other properties on the big 3 lakes to allow people to have the Muskoka experience on a reasonable budget. This is our first season of renting, I am adding summertime photos as time permits. The price is $925 per week.   The Cottage is located in quiet Muskoka Bay right on Lake Muskoka in Gravenhurst off Hwy 169 just past the Muskoka Warf where the famous Segwun steam ship fleet dock. The cottage is a quick 1 1/2 hours north of Toronto (hwy 401&400) and "drive to" accessible. With PRIVATE lake shore, shallow, sandy gradual safe water entry for children. QUIET and tranquil with low population density and calm waters, for relaxed swimming, canoeing, snokling, fishing tubing etc. From Muskoka Bay all "Big Three" lakes are accessible, where you can travel around to see concerts at Bala, tour up to Port Carling or view some of the spectacular scenery and architecture on the lakes. There is PIKE & BASS fishing off the dock and lots of deep water fishing in the big lakes.   Drive to the cottage, park, enter, relax, 2 to 5 minutes from all Gravenhurst amenities, close to Segwun sunset dinner cruises, live theatre, shopping, restaurants, live musical entertainment usually in both Bala or Gravenhurst, walk to convenience store/gas 2 min, boat rentals close, boat launch close, even food delivery etc. Lots of fun for both kids and adults close by; Public BMX bike park, Skateboard park, soccer field, basketball court, tennis courts, playground etc. It is a quaint 3 bedroom (queen beds renter supplies own linen) with kitchen, living room, sun/games room and deck both overlook the tranquil lake.   We have kept the cottage as authentic Muskoka cottage style with the original look and feel. No phone, cell reception is great (10 signal strength) Being our first season of renting, we are anxious to insure your Muskoka experience is such that you will want to return. Located on lake Muskoka, for those not familliar, research Muskoka area, historically it is the #1 premium location for cottaging in the entire province. This is mainly due to the size of the lake and ajoining lakes, making it supirior for water activities, water access while having predictibly calm waters. There is a dock for your water craft, sun/gamesroom and back deck face the lakeside view. Sandy water entry with no steep dropoffs make it ideal for children. Upper and lower fire pits set the mood at night by the lake
