Convenient for Risør and an ideal base for exploring the Southern Coast of Norway. It is easy to fall in love with Risør. This white town on the Skagerrak is the melting pot of Sørlandet. Outer Risør has the magnificent archipelago and romantic Sørland houses which stand shoulder to shoulder around the beautiful harbour. Everything goes on inside Risør. Street life is more continental than Norwegian. There is activity all around and things are constantly going on like the Chambermusic Festival, the Arts and Crafts Festival and the International Woodenboat Festival. Risør is also known for its galleries, three of them are open all year round. During the summer comes at least three more, which is quite good concidering that Risør town has only 7.000 inhabitants.

The Cabin.
This cabin is perfect for that "getaway"... There is a 10 minute boat ride out to the cabin. Into the heart of the southern Nowegian fjords... flanked by trees and rocks... Although the cabin is not on an island... and you can drive out to it with 4x4. You get that Robinson Crusoe feeling! Although simply furnished Laget Fjordside cabin has a charm of its own. Due to its location there is no electicity... So hence no TV either... The evenings would be spent admiring the view... and relaxing. There is fresh running water... but the water is heated by a log fire heater... and the shower is outside in the open. If you are looking for a back to nature experience then this is your cabin... But if you can't live without your micro.. then this is not the cabin for you! This is the cabin to curl up with a book or someone special! as it is not overlooked... The sun is shining on the cabin most of the day due to its position... You can reach the local shop by boat... or take the 10 minute ride back to the mainland and use the car for the 15 trip into the local town of Risor. You can fish from the jetty.. for various salt water fish depending on the season... and the occassional salmon! CABIN NOTES... A very secluded cabin on the West side of Sandnesfjørd between Laget and Sørlandet Holiday Centre.Ideal for those looking for real peace and quiet. Excellent fishing opportunities in the fjørd Bathing from the jetty which has steps. Simple standard with propane cooking,and lighting with hurricane lamps or candles. Water from own well,and hot water from a wood-fired tank. Outdoors parafin fired fridge. Parking on the owners own property. To reach the cabin you need to use the boat which takes about 20 minutes. An Askeladd 14ft boat with a 4hk is provided. Contents: Hall 2 Bedrooms,1 with double bed and 1 with single bed Extra sleeping in the Hems. Kitchen area Living room with Open fire,sofa and dining table Egress from living room to the terrace which has fine views out over the sea. A freezer is available at the owners house.- used by agreement with the owner. Outhouse with outside WC. (flushing toilet)

You should arrive at the holiday home on the first day for the holiday period before 22.00 (10 p.m.) unless otherwise stated in the rental agreement. Arrival at a later time should be agreed in good time . We cannot be held responsible, should late arrival make it impossible to gain access to the holiday home on the first day of the holiday period. Due to the geography and the location of some of the properties in Norway. We would strongly recommend the use of a car during your stay.
