Isabella Country House
Isabella Country House is a small friendly apartments resort situated nearly 8km from the historical centre of Corfu and 400m from the tourist village Gouvia. The resort consists of two villas built in a beautiful garden of 5.000 sq.m planted with olive trees, lemon trees, palm trees and different kinds of flowers. The surroundings offer an ideal place for calm, rest and contact with nature. Isabella Country House consists of 12 fully furnished apartments, 7 studios and 5 two bedroom apartments, all with separate W.C with shower (most of the apartments also have a bath), fully equipped kitchenette, A/C, TV, fridge and veranda. The rooms are decorated with traditional materials such as wood and stone, in a country style, so that they are in complete harmony with the natural environment. The view of the apartments is spectacular. Some rooms have a view to the sea, and others to the beautiful garden. A pool, a playground, private parking, a card phone and a garden bar are also available to the residents. Once a week, a barbecue is organized in the garden bar so that the residents meet with each other and enjoy a night under the moonlight. Isabella Country House offers a friendly, pleasant and family atmosphere, so that the residents relax and feel at home. The environment is ideal if you dream of a holiday where you can relax, lying under the trees, hear the sounds of the birds and smell the wild flowers. The area where Isabella Country House is situated offers the opportunity of different activities such as walks in nature, visits to the small picturesque villages, rides with bicycles, swimming and other activities such as water sports, golf, tennis and riding. And if you would like to eat in a fancy restaurant and have a drink in a music bar you will only have to walk for five minutes and find yourself to the centre of the tourist village Gouvia

Location: On the East coast, opposite the Greek mainland. 8 km NorthWest of Corfu Town and airport. GOUVIA is the site of Corfu's largest yachting marina and the launching point of most of the island's flotilla and bareboat holidays, although the mainly Scandinavian and British holidaymakers far outnumber boaters. General Description: At around 4 km long and 1 km wide, Gouvia has become one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island, offering both lively nightlife and quiet hillside spots. The resort has a definite nautical ambience: it boasts a large yacht marina and was once an historic Venetian naval base ? at one end of the beach you will find a ruined Venetian arsenal and the precariously beached wreck of a yacht. Adjoining Gouvia is the quiet village of Kontokali while 1 km inland is Danilia, a purpose-built, Greek-style village where folklore performances are organised for evening trips Beach information: The beach is clean and only a mile or so from the Blue Flagged beach at Kontokali. Due to the large bay shape and the shingle beach it is sometimes covered in a little seaweed. Beach facilities include sunbeds and sun umbrellas, showers and toilets. Sun loungers and sun shade costs about 6 € for two. The beach is very accessible from either end of the village. A circular walk can be made to and from the beach on a tarmac surface. As with many Corfiot beaches it is child friendly but supervision is required. The centre of the beach is safer than the sides - boat hire and motor sports take place to the sides Entertainments: Daytime: beach and water-based activities including paragliding, diving and a variety of other water sports , boat trips , horse riding , exploring local countryside. Nightlife: lively tavernas, cocktail and sports bars , Clubs , mainly along the main road. Eating out: Good-value snack bars, Greek tavernas serving traditional fare, pasta restaurants and pizzerias, even Chinese and Tex-Mex options. British cuisine is widely available.
