Altinkum
For those of you who have not been to Altinkum before, a brief description of the town follows. There are two main areas, the town of Didum and the beach area of Altinkum. The beaches are fantastic, miles of clean golden sand with crystal clear shallow water for about 80 feet off shore. This makes it ideal for swimming and all watersports and is especially good for children. The second and third beaches are quieter than main beach but still have all the facilities you need. Sun beds, watersports, restaurants etc. Most of the restaurants in Altinkum including those on 3rd beach offer a free collection service from our apartment if its too hot to walk, or if you are just feeling lazy. (Full details in the apartment). There is lots to do in and around Alinkum and there are plenty of Dolmus buses if you want to travel further afield. The Saturday market is a ten minute bus journey and well worth a visit for the experience. A new Aqua park opened this year and again is only about 15 minutes bus or car journey away. However there is plenty to do your doorstep so if you don't want to go far you don't have to. All the beaches and the main shopping area, Dolphin Square, are within 10 to 15 minutes walk. The promanade in Altinkum stretches for a couple of miles so you can walk as far or as little as you want. And you can always get a lift back if you eat in any of the restaurants.

The apartment
The apartment is on the second floor and has an internal staircase to the top floor. There is no lift in the building so unfortunately there is no wheelchair access. The apartment is very large and can accomodate 8 adults comfortably. Cots for babys can be provided on request. There are three seperate bedrooms. The two bedrooms on the top floor have en-suite shower rooms, one with a bath, and both have their own balcony. There is one bedroom on the lower floor and a further shower room. The large lounge also can be used as a further sleeping area for two Adults and a child. The seperate kitchen has masses of storage space and room for 6 people to sit and indoors. Two further balaconies on this floor provide outside seating. The kitchen is fully equiped with a gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and all cutlery and crockery. There are laundry facilities on site and the upstairs balconies both have airers to dry your towels etc. Satallite TV and CD and a seperate DVD player with a few DVDs is provided. Each Balcony has chairs and a table and there are two sunbeds on the top balcony. All bedding and towels (ecept beach towels) are provided. The apartment will be cleaned before and after your visit and once a week if your stay is longer than 7 days. This is all included in the cost.

The complex
The apartment is one of 65 and most apartments are owned by British people. The majority of the visitors will be British. There is a large outdoor pool together with a seperate childrens pool and a 30 seater juccuzi. There are plenty of sunbeds and umberellas. There is also an indoor pool which is heated out of season and a fitness area which is open all year. There is a bar on site together with a snack bar and laundry area. A small supermarket is also planned for next season. There are a couple of bars and restaurants adjacent to the complex and the main town is only ten minutes walk away. The complex is generally quite quiet during the night.
