One can only appreciate whilst being there the beauty of swimming in a colour harmony of light and dark blue. Paragliders swoop down from the sky like a bird from a bygone era. HISARONU and OVACIK: are two typical Turkish villages which have recently become shopping, eating and drinking destinations offering a fine selection of international cuisine. KAYO KOY is a ghost town of deserted houses set in the pine clad forests not far from Hisaronu. Kaya was a settlement for both Greek and Turkish nationalities in the 14th century. Fethiye is a town of old and new with winding streets leading to bazaars, shops, bars and many eating places. Stroll along the promenade late evening and enjoy Fethiye in all its glory. The Tuesday market is a must. Book a boat trip from the quay, where you will find numerous excursions including the Twelve Islands and Gocek market trips. For the more adventurous try paragliding, microlighting, quad bikes, jeep safari or scuba diving. All these activities can be booked from Olu Deniz or Hisaronu for a competitive price.

The Telmessos amphitheatre is another important land mark in Fethiye. SAKLIKANT: ( hidden city ) is a unique natural wonder hiding within an 18km magnificent canyon, where the waters are cooling on hot summer days.
