VILLA LOURDES is a beautiful little two bedroom Madeiran house with a modern extension tastefully added to the original stonewall house which dates back 300 years. The house was rebuilt five years ago, keeping all of its rustic charm and stonework. Some of the original wood can still be seen in the living room and above the old fireplace which was traditionally used for cooking. The villa is very nicely decorated to reflect its old world charm and cosiness. Sitting on a hillside just below the village of Loreto you have a fantastic uninterrupted view of the sea and surrounding mountains.

About Villa Lourdes
Villa Lourdes is very special to us. When we bought the house in 1999 it was surrounded in vegetation and need of repair, it stood out beautifully on the hillside with an uninterrupted view of the sea. Our children fell in love with it and insisted that we buy it which was not difficult since we had already decided ourselves. We had the house restored with new roof and windows also adding an extension for second bedroom and kitchen. We spent 3 very happy years there with our children before moving to a bigger property. We have since very successfully rented the property and love when it is not rented because we get a chance to go there for the weekend. I am sure staying there will let you appreciate the magic of the house and its beautiful surroundings.
