Vineyards and olive groves surround the country style villa The fenced gardens are simple with many trees for shade from the warm Tuscan sun. The partly sunken pool lies in a sunny part of the garden however nearby there is always some shade from the trees and umbrellas. Petralexa is entered from a grass-covered terrace furnished with table and chairs for outdoor dining. This terrace gives access to an independent suite and to the main house that is on two floors. The suite is entered through large glass doors that provide lots of light. It has a comfortable sitting area, a double bed and a bathroom with shower. On entering the main house you find yourself in the lounge area that has a large corner sofa and a fireplace ideal for cooler evenings. This room also has SAT TV. Off the lounge there is a fully equipped kitchen with dining table for 6 people. The kitchen includes gas hobs, oven and fridge/freezer. Completing this floor there is a bathroom with shower. On the first floor there is a double bedroom that can be made into a twin bedroom on request. Next to this room there is a bathroom with shower. Also on this floor there is a third sleeping area that has twin beds and a fourth bathroom with shower. Curtains provide this sleeping area with privacy for the night. The swimming pool is located to the side of the villa. It is a partly sunken prefabricated pool in the shape of an 8. One side of the pool has a tiled sun deck that leads to a lawn with sun beds. The pool is good for a refreshing dip after a hot day sight seeing however it is not good for swimming laps.
