Location
Considered one of the quietest and oldest villages in Gozo, Gharb has a lot to offer to both the first time and repeat visitor. For those who love walking the village is surrounded by beautiful country side with distant sea views from most areas. The San Dimitri Chapel is about 10 minutes walk from the house and is definetely worth a visit.
Close by attractions include the Azure Window, the Inland Sea and the Blue Hole especially popular with divers. The village square is within walking distance and this has a grocery store and a must see Folklore Museum. A couple of good restaurants and bars are also in the vicinity of the square.
Victoria is about 10 minutes drive away. Main attractions include the Citadel, the majestic St. George's Church and the daily market. Gozo, being only 9 miles by 5 miles is quite small so the rest of the island is within easy reach. Popular beaches such as Marsalforn, Xlendi and Ramla are no more than 15 to 20 minutes drive from the farmhouse.
A car is highly recommended when in Gozo, this way you can really explore the majority of this enchanting little place which has captured many hearts. I am confident you will be once of those that come back!
