Why did I buy a property in this area?
We moved to France in 2003 with the intention of setting up & running a French Gite which would be very different from anything else available, providing very well equipped and clean accommodation and a level of care and detail which is so rightly demanded, to make our guests feel welcome and hopefully, eager to return.

What made us fall in love with this particular property?
We had viewed quite a few properties throughout Europe & decided to try France. We were taken to La Soumaille on one March evening. After driving up the 400 metre drive we took one look at the views & made an offer there & then without paying too much attention to the house. (Fortunately the house was in very good condition!) All of our criteria were met, Beautiful views, Very Tranquil, Lake With Waterfall, Lots Of Land (27 acres) & Our Own Woodland
