The Colin Archer Suite...
There are 9 maritime suites of high quality, measuring 45-60 m2 each (4 beds, living room/dining area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and outside area). Some of the suites can offer free ADSL-connection. The suites are situated in a restored old neighbourhood with a charming and romantic atmosphere. The suites are furnished with old and antique furniture, and each one has its own individuality inspired by the maritime collection it contains. These unique suites have come about because a collector started a hotel! In addition to a high quality stay in this hotel, we wish to give our guests some maritime history. "Just to stay in the suite" is an experience in itself. Old Risør with its history as a large shipping town provides the genuine setting. The suites are situated in the centre of the town, integrated in a neighbourhood of old wooden houses that are vital and worthy of preservation. There are shops, cafés and restaurants only a few steps away. Three individual suites alongside each other. Outdoor sitting area in commons. Four beds per suite. ADSL (broadband) is available. Roughly 150 meters to the town plaza/harbor. The N.A.L. Suite is optionally available for miniconferences/catered banquets for up to 10 persons.

In the fjords and on the islets there has throughout the years been built many a sailboat. Risør still has some boat builder's yards for wooden boats in Buvika and Moen. The wooden boat festival is arranged in Risør every year on the first weekend of August. In the inner harbour in Risør one can see the sailing boat Risør II, a restored masterpiece that is hired out for different occasions.

Risor
It is easy to fall in love with Risør. This white town on the Skagerrak is the melting pot of Sørlandet. Outer Risør has the magnificent archipelago and romantic Sørland houses which stand shoulder to shoulder around the beautiful harbour. Everything goes on inside Risør. Street life is more continental than Norwegian. There is activity all around and things are constantly going on like the Chambermusic Festival, the Arts and Crafts Festival and the International Woodenboat Festival. Risør is also known for its galleries, three of them are open all year round. During the summer comes at least three more, which is quite good concidering that Risør town has only 7.000 inhabitants.
