The River Barn is an ideal romantic getaway.
It is cosy and just right for a couple. The overall size is 30 sq. meters. On the ground floor is the living room, bathroom with shower cubicle and kitchen with breakfast table. French doors lead onto the main courtyard and private patio and to the side are steps descending to the lower ground floor. On the lower ground floor is the secluded bedroom (no internall stairs connecting the bedroom with the ground floor). The external steps continue down to the mountain stream where you can relax in a hammock on the water's edge.

The property - Molin del Resco
The River Barn is part of a renovated watermill estate set in a secluded valley covering three acres of garden and olive groves. It is located on the slopes of the Pratomagno mountain, an area of breathtaking natural beauty and well away from the beaten tourist track. It is however close to the local village, which can be reached on foot in under 10 minutes on a public footbath by the mountain stream and Florence is only 30 minutes away by car. A car is essential for a stay at Molin del Resco as the local town does not have efficient transport links. With the car you can reach the nearby town of Figline which has a very convenient train service to Florence and Arezzo (only a 20 minute train ride!)

The swimming pool is located on a terrace of olive trees.
At Molin del Resco you can enjoy nature to the full, sunbathe by the pool, enjoy a BBQ on your private patio accompanied by our red wine, olive oil and home -grown fruit and vegetables. The property is on the slopes of the Pratomagno mountain to the south-east of Florence at 350 meters above sea level. So even in the height of summer you will not suffer the humid heat that stiffles the Florence valley below. There are some excellent restaurants nearby where you can enjoy some authentic Tuscan cuisine and you can visit the local fairs, markets and fetes throughout the summer and autumn. Above all you will be able to appreciate the breathtaking natural beauty of this area and its vicinity to the important cultural and artistic centres of Tuscany.

The front of the River Barn faces the main courtyard of the mill-house and the garden. On the other side, there are views directly over the mountain stream. To the side is the private patio with table and chairs and deck chairs for the exclusive use of this cottage.
