Cross country skiing has long been a tradition in Norway. In Vrådal we prepare 40 to 60 km of ski slopes in mountainous terrain, in the valley, over fields, in the forest and on safe ice. Most of the winter you may start skiing from your own chalet. Season: Christmas through to Easter. Ski rental and ski instructions are available at the Vrådal Skisenter. The Vrådal Skisenter is only 2kms away. It is one of the biggest ski centres in Southern Norway... famous for the first 8-seater chairlift in the world. In addition Vrådal Skisenter runs four other lifts and prepares fifteen pistes. The longest piste is 3 600 m and has a vertical drop of 473 m. One of the biggest snow production system in Norway makes it possible to open the skicenter in the middle of December and keep it in good condition until the middle of April. Snowboarding at Vrådal Skisenter ... The slopes are designed for all levels of expertise -both beginners and advanced alpine/Telemark skiers and snow boarders. Good possibilities for off-piste skiing. The chairlift has so great a capacity that there is a guarantee that the wait is no longer than 5 minutes!
