Cabanas is a favourite with Portuguese as well as visitors from all over Europe. The mild winters and sea breeze-cooled summers have made the pretty fishing village into a refuge for many ex-pats as well. Cabanas is a perfect centre for access to golf courses all along the Eastern Algarve and is under 20 minutes by car from Spain.

Cabanas has a wide selection of restaurants and bars and this holiday coastline offers a wide selection of beaches and smaller resorts to visit. The beach at Cabanas is on the south side of the Rio Formosa National Park that fronts the village and it is reached by a short ferry trip. The delightful town of Tavira is under 15 minutes away by car for a wider selection of places to eat.
