Three Bedroomed Villa
Situated in Canhas this super three bedroomed villa is arranged with two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom making it ideal for family holidays. Casa do Ingles offers Panoramic sea and mountain views from the terrace. The large enclosed gardens are laid almost completely to lawn with scattered fruit trees making a safe area for the children to play. A kids pool is supplied during the school summer holiday period. Many restaurants are only a few minutes drive away, although the large well equipped kitchen in this family home will help to make cooking a pleasure.

The Local area.
A recently built commercial centre is only a few minutes up the road and shops to be found include bank, photographic outlet, souvenir shop,the best pizzaria in Madeira, fruit shop, fashions to suit most tastes and a travel agency where island tours can be arranged. Adjacent are two local supermarkets,the smaller of which has an english speaking owner,although the other has a wider selection of food.An important religious monument is less than 500 metres away and mass is sometimes held there, although within view is the ornate local church, where hundreds congregate each Sunday.

Madeira is a mountainous island
Canhas is a hilly area and the experienced visitor will bring good stout walking shoes. Casa do Ingles is ideally situated for levada walking although it is also only a two minute walk from the local taxi rank. Car hire is desirable but not absolutely essential. Less than 10 minutes drive away are the beach areas of Ponta do Sol and Madalena do Mar. It is alleged that the game fishing in Madeira is now the best in the world. A recently developed network of tunnels make all areas of the island accessible in less than an hour. You don't have to be a pro to try the golf although a low handicap always helps! At varying times of the year almost every conceivable type of activity is available and at the time of writing Madeira has TWO first division football teams if you are the type that prefers to watch.
