Casa Lucchese is a spacious Sicilian Farmhouse located at a beautiful and breath taking rural location, approx 3 miles out of town, 6 miles from the best beaches. The only access is a scenic private dirt driveway less than 1 mile long worth every moment! The property covers an area of perhaps 10 acres all told and is surrounded by hundred hectares of olive groves and has sweeping views of the Sicilian hinterland. The area is extremely quiet and peaceful with stunning views of rolling countryside, remote enough that you rarely hear any noise but the sounds of the birds chattering. there are excellent walking opportunities in the hilly countryside (by the way, there are almost no fences here and the farmers encourage you to go where you like).

Casa Lucchese (240 sq.mt on two stories) is arranged with the living quarters downstairs + one double bedroom and the other bedrooms upstairs. The property sleeps eight people and can be taken by parties of up to ten plus a collapsible cot making 11. The floors are tiled and big, handsome wooden doors with attractive door-knockers and above the traditional Italian wooden beamed ceilings. On the ground floor the main entrance of the house takes you directly into the open-plan living/dining area with stone fireplace, very comfortably furnished with rustic furniture and two large leather sofas. To the left is a large dining room with a wooden table that comfortably seats eight and a well designed and fully equipped kitchen stocked with pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, coffee-pot, food processor and dishes also cheese graters, colanders, serving platters, salad bowls etc. Refrigerator with freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, a gas stove with an electric oven and an adequate sink with a second dining table. The property is fully equipped for comfortable self catering, an excellent calibre of housekeeping (including linen, towels and blankets) is provided. Sat.TV, radio/cassette and CD player. A lobby takes you to a bathroom with shower, washing machine (clothes are line dried, of course) and ironing board.

With a coastline of 30 kilometres, Sciacca offers the visitor the greatest imaginable variety of marine environments: wide sandy beaches, sheer cliffs and remote tiny beaches. Sciacca is also a very important tourist destination for its artistic ceramic works, architecture, churches and monuments. The south western part of Sicily, often referred to as African Sicily, both for the climate and the proximity to the Tunisian coast. This part of the country boasts some of the most extensive olive and grape production in Sicily, so the local oil and wine are not to be missed! San Marco beach, is ‘Bagno-style' which means serviced beach areas – which given the amenities they provide are fair value deck chairs, umbrellas, sunbeds and changing facilities with shower... and of course, a loo; some have little bars where they serve a snack lunch. The beaches, only 3 miles away, have opportunities for swimming, snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing and have panoramic views of the coast for miles away. Sea water is usually on the cool side due to the channel stream on the other hand is Biking, trekking and boat trips can be taken from the harbour and there is a good beach 3 mile out of town.
